The verdict
Mito Red Light MitoPRO 750X takes the higher score here. The panel we would buy with our own money. Six wavelengths, an honest published gap between spectroradiometer and consumer-meter numbers, and a 3-year warranty.
It is also the cheaper of the two by $450, which makes this an unusually easy call. The case for the Hooga PRO1500 rests on what it does differently, not on value: Hooga's value proposition is simple: fewer wavelengths, lower price, same physics on the two bands that carry most of the evidence.
Put plainly — unless one of the PRO1500's specific strengths below is the thing you are buying for, take the MitoPRO 750X and put the $450 toward installation, which is the line item most first-time buyers underestimate.

Mito Red Light MitoPRO 750X
Strengths
- Publishes both spectroradiometer and consumer-meter irradiance — almost nobody does
- Six wavelengths including 590nm and the 810/830 deep-tissue band
- 3-year warranty at a mid-market price
Compromises
- 10" x 23" covers a torso, not a full body — you will reposition
- 225W draw means real heat off the back of the panel
- Stand and door-hang hardware are extra
Hooga PRO1500
Strengths
- Two-wavelength simplicity at a lower price than six-wavelength rivals
- Full PRO/ULTRA ladder from $299 to $3,999 lets you size exactly
- Publishes irradiance at 3, 6, 12 and 18 inches, not just one distance
Compromises
- Its 189 mW/cm² is a consumer-meter figure by Hooga's own account; no spectroradiometer number to set beside Mito's
- Only 660/850 on PRO - no 810/830 deep band unless you go ULTRA
- Support and documentation are thinner than Mito's
