Recovery Room Lab is reader-supported. This page explains exactly how, in plain terms, as required by the FTC's endorsement guides and as a matter of basic respect for your time.

The short version

When you click a link to a retailer on this site and buy something, we may receive a commission. The price you pay is identical either way. We have never been paid for a ranking, a score or a recommendation, and we do not accept payment for placement.

Which programs

We participate in affiliate programs operated by manufacturers and retailers in the home recovery category, including but not limited to sauna, cold plunge and red light therapy brands and their dealers. Outbound commercial links on this site are routed through /go/ URLs and carry rel="sponsored nofollow".

What commissions do and do not influence

They do influence what we cover. We write about categories where products exist that can be bought online, because that is what funds the work. We are not going to pretend otherwise.

They do not influence rank order, scores, or what we say about a product. Several products we rate highly pay us less than products we rate lower, and at least one brand we recommend has no affiliate program at all. When a higher-paying product is worse, we say it is worse.

Prices

Prices shown are captured from manufacturer or retailer pages on the date stated on each page. This category runs frequent promotions and prices move constantly. Always confirm the current price at the retailer before purchasing; we cannot honour a price we merely reported.
