Short answer
The Shark red light mask, the CryoGlow, is FDA-cleared as K242796 (27 November 2024) for wrinkles, with acne as a second code. It runs red, blue and infrared in programs of 4 to 8 minutes, plus under-eye cooling, at $349.99 on SharkNinja’s site (1 November 2026). It publishes no wavelengths in nanometres and no irradiance.
Shark came to LED masks from hair dryers and vacuums, and it shows in what the CryoGlow is good at: it is easy to use, it is built to be worn daily, and it went through the FDA paperwork properly. It shows too in what it leaves out. The listing and Shark’s own page describe colours and programs, not nanometres and milliwatts, which leaves the dose to faith.
What the Shark CryoGlow does
| As Shark states it, 1 Nov 2026 | |
|---|---|
| Light | red, blue, “deep infrared”; no wavelengths in nm |
| Better Aging | red and infrared, 6 minutes |
| Skin Clearing | blue, infrared and red, 8 minutes |
| Skin Sustain | red, blue and infrared, 4 minutes |
| Under-Eye Revive | temperature-controlled cooling, 5 to 15 minutes |
| FDA | K242796, wrinkles (OHS) with acne (OLP) |
| Warranty | 2 years, limited |
| Price | $349.99 on sharkninja.com |
The FDA record is the strongest thing about it. The database lists CryoGlow from SharkNinja Operating LLC as K242796, received 16 September 2024 and decided 27 November 2024, with a wrinkle-reduction code and an acne code. Of the masks we checked, it is the one whose acne claim we could tie to a number most cleanly. The best mask comparison lists the rest.
What it will not tell you
No wavelength in nanometres, no LED count, no irradiance. Every other comparison we can make depends on those: whether its red is the 630 to 660 nm band the skin studies used, whether its infrared is 830 to 850 nm or deeper, and how much light reaches the skin in six minutes. Six minutes is short; it only delivers a dose comparable to a 10-minute mask if the CryoGlow is brighter, and Shark does not say whether it is. Its 12-week trial results are the evidence it offers instead. That is not nothing, and it is also not a number you can check.
Where to buy it on Amazon
Two colourways were sold and shipped by Amazon itself when we checked; a third was on a third-party seller with low stock, which we would skip.
Shark CryoGlow LED face mask with under-eye cooling, FW312
The CryoGlow: four programs from 4 to 8 minutes in red, blue and infrared, temperature-controlled under-eye cooling, rechargeable. FDA 510(k) K242796. Sold and shipped by Amazon, with Amazon’s own returns.
We do not publish a price for Amazon products. Amazon listings reprice constantly and the figure would be stale before you read it.
Shark CryoGlow LED face mask, FW312PK
The same CryoGlow in another colour, also sold and shipped by Amazon when we checked. Nothing in the listing differs in treatment or clearance.

Masks to weigh against the CryoGlow
Solawave Wrinkle Retreat Pro LED face mask, 4 wavelengths
A 3-minute session with what the CryoGlow leaves out: four stated wavelengths (605, 630, 660 and 830 nm), a stated 65 mW/cm² across 320 LEDs, and an FDA clearance we matched (K252983). No acne program. Sold by Solawave, shipped from Amazon.

Bob and Brad PhysioFace LED face mask, 480 LEDs
Also sold for wrinkles and mild-to-moderate acne, and the most transparent spec sheet we found: 630, 830, 415 and 590 nm, with 124, 70 and 20 mW/cm² stated per mode under test conditions it does not give. 10-minute sessions. The listing describes a 510(k) clearance without a number we could match. Sold by the brand, shipped from Amazon.

Qure Q-Rejuvalight Pro LED face mask
FDA 510(k) K230042 for wrinkles and mild-to-moderate inflammatory acne, five light colours, 3 minutes, and an app that treats five zones separately, useful if breakouts sit in one place. Sold by Qure Skincare, shipped from Amazon.

What we have not measured
We have not measured a CryoGlow. The program times and colours are from the Amazon listing and SharkNinja’s page on 1 November 2026, the price and warranty from SharkNinja’s page the same day, and the clearance from the FDA database the same day.
What we would measure first, because Shark will not say: the peak wavelengths of each colour on a spectroradiometer, and the irradiance at the skin in each program, mask on a head form, sensor at forehead, cheek and chin. Six minutes at an unknown power is the one number this mask’s whole case rests on. One unit, n=1. The method is on how we test.

Questions buyers actually ask
Is the Shark LED face mask worth it?
For someone who wants one mask for fine lines and breakouts, with a clearance they can look up and sessions short enough to keep doing, it is one of the stronger buys: FDA 510(k) K242796, programs of 4 to 8 minutes, and $349.99 on SharkNinja's site on 1 November 2026. If you want to know the dose you are getting, it is the wrong mask: Shark publishes no wavelengths in nanometres and no irradiance.
Is the Shark CryoGlow FDA cleared?
Yes. The FDA's 510(k) database lists CryoGlow (FW3XXXX) from SharkNinja Operating LLC as K242796, decided 27 November 2024, under product code OHS (light-based over-the-counter wrinkle reduction) with OLP (light-based over-the-counter acne) as a subsequent code.
How long do you use the Shark CryoGlow?
Each program sets its own time: Better Aging is 6 minutes of red and infrared, Skin Clearing 8 minutes of blue, infrared and red, Skin Sustain 4 minutes of all three, and the Under-Eye Revive cooling runs 5 to 15 minutes. Shark's clinical claims come from once-a-day use over 12 weeks.
Which is better, Omnilux or Shark?
Shark is cheaper, shorter per session and cleared for acne as well as wrinkles in one mask. Omnilux publishes its wavelengths (633 and 830 nm) and an irradiance of about 30 mW/cm², which Shark does not. Our Omnilux vs CurrentBody page compares the three in full.
